Photo Posting

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I've just got a quick question reguarding posting pictures in a forum. I've tried multiple ways but no matter what i do it wont let me post my pictures directly to the forum page. I've tried using flickr, imageshack, and photobucket but each time it won't let me use those websites. I've just been resorting to posting a link to the page on the forum. How do you do it?

Hope you can answer,

DBI

Ohhh okay i got it now thanks! Is there any way to delete this post? its pretty much useless now...

A mod could delete it.

Another option would be to totally change every post in the thread. If you change the topic to something else, and have malem, TombRaiderFTW, and both of us post something different by editing our posts, we could recycle it into a whole new thread.

After you type out a post, click "More Reply Options" to preview it before posting. That way, you can see if everything looks right in advance.

For the record, the "BB code" to type for an image is [img]http://link-to-image.jpg[/img] - but you should be using the image toolbar button in the post editor to avoid having to type this out.

The forum software enforces that all image links end in a proper file extension like jpg, jpeg, gif, etc. This means that image sites with image URL's in an alternate form will not work on KICentral for direct posting. Pick another image site if this is happening to you.

EDIT:

100% recycled bits!

The Crypt.. Son of Beast... Vortex... WindSeeker... Thunder Alley... 5 rides gone in two years? Why do I get the feeling this is a diversion?

I understand now. That is not the actual 2013 map. You honestly had me convinced that it was. If anyone wants to face palm me, I accept my fate. :)

How do you post pics on kic from iPads? Minis in particular...

I recently learned using Photobucket with my iPhone you can upload your pic, then copy the "IMG code" & paste it directly to the "reply box" and it works perfectly.

I don't see why an iPad or iPad mini would be any different.

Any one else on here having trouble posting pictures? .......

When I try to paste in the image code in the "image properties" box and then press "OK" nothing happens. The "image properties" box stays open and wont leave the screen to let me finish my post.....

What browser are you using?

I just tested it and it works fine for me (though I typically type the code manually). Are you pasting in full [ IMG ] [/ IMG ] code or just a URL? That box only takes a URL; IMG code should be pasted directly into the main edit box.

I was using a URL.

What browser are you using?

I was using Internet Explorer, the newest version of it, but I switched to Safari today.....Which was taking a small step out of my normal comfort zone.....But I can post pictures on KIC with Safari now!

Internet Exploder 11 is known to not play nice with forums. There are known issues both here and on a XenForo forum I frequent with the quote button not working with IE 11, and this sounds like a similar, related issue. It's not a bug on IE's end, but rather an incompatibility on the forum's end that requires the forum admins to get and apply a software update to fix. The XenForo fix has been released, but I don't know if the IP.Board developers have released a fix yet. Once it is released, we have to wait for Dane to install it on the server.

On another note, Safari for Windows should not be used. It is significantly out of date and is no longer updated or supported by Apple. I recommend Chrome or Firefox for an IE alternative.
