Oldschool75 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Reports of red track outside the Batavia Steel plant. By the looks of the track, my guess is a hyper or Giga. 17
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 B&M's first launch coaster. I can tell by the piece in the back right. 2
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I wasn't counting wing coasters. Or giving B&M credit for something they didn't make. (The launch on Hulk)
The Interpreter Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Put another way: "I was wrong or engaging in magical thinking." 16
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Do you give B&M credit for the launch element on Hulk? Also how dare you be critical of magical thinking on an amusement park forum.
The Interpreter Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 The plain fact is there is already existing at least one, and some would say two, B&M launched coaster(s). As has been said, every person is entitled to his or her own opinion, but not his or her own facts. 16
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Thunderhead is new for this season, as in it hasn't even officially opened yet. Fact. Sure though, I was wrong. Please excuse me, as I forgot to tally Thunderbird considering it is brand spanking new. You know if everyone were to sit on their hands, and dare not speculate or post, fearing criticism from the almighty, this site wouldn't be worth checking very often now would it Interpreter? 3
The Interpreter Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I haven't seen the Almighty post here. If you do, please point Him (or Her) out. 15
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 What about SurfDog? Does that launch? 1
homestar92 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 It goes from being at rest to being in motion, so depending upon one's definition of a "launch"... Not that Surf Dog is relevant to the question of whether coasters launch, what with its not being a coaster and all. 5
BlondyRidesOn Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I'm starting to think this whole discussion is a DIVErsion. Blondy, stealing old jokes from other people. 7
rhyano Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 can we get back on topic here... but what park has a rumor? going around it? 1
malem Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Steel coaster track is hard to move and hard to store, so this would be a little early for anything going up in a North American seasonal park (with a probable ~2016Q2 opening). 3
Nick_Plummer Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 my guess is a 900 foot tall green Intamin coming to Tower Gardens in 2016 13
rhyano Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 what about if this is going to Dollywood i just realized that but idk 1
rcwizard13 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 As malem said, this is too early to be for Dollywood (AKA: Shot Rod), especially considering they only just started land clearing. Though I do personally believe Shot Rod will be a launched B&M, this red track I would think has to be going somewhere overseas.
Dieseltech20 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 my guess is a 900 foot tall green Intamin coming to Tower Gardens in 2016 The pieces of track in the picture....aren't Green. My guess is, B&M Coaster....some park.....on Earth. 3

RollerNut Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Now we all know that Cedar Fair prefers red or atleast used to.
McSalsa Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Well, seeing track at the B&M Plant this early is a bit odd. I would guess this is probably for overseas, as right now the only rumored B&M's coming to the states in 2016 (for now) would be the Rumored Dive Machine @ Cedar Point and possibly Shot Rod @ Dollywood, and since track rarely shows up pre-announcement and said announcements are usually around August. From the picture though, I can make a guess that said coaster has a lift hill (in the background I think I spot a piece that would be the bottom of the lift) and also from that, this is NOT an invert. So it's no invert or launched coaster. The rumored CP Dive Coaster would still be a possibility but again- awful early for track to be popping up. Then again, the quicker it's built the better for its rumored 2016 opening... It is very, very red though. And if it is the CP Dive Coaster...CP will have red overkill. (This, Magnum XL200, TTD, Maverick...) 6
Dr Zhark Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 That might be Cedar Point's Dive Coaster look at the angle of that piece in the back. 2
RollerNut Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 That one section appears to be the bottom of a lift hill however it doesn't match the same section of any exsisting B&M coaster I have found.
Nick_Plummer Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Actually B&M Giga coasters do have that style at the bottom of the lift hill 1
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Has this been confirmed by a second source?
Oldschool75 Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Here is another picture Sent from a signal coming out of the Vega system. 8

MantisMan Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Has this been confirmed by a second source? Has what been confirmed? 5
