Today I got to be at Soak City! a few Australian things scatrered around like in the souvenier shop, the cc. Restaurant, a sign next to coolangatta, & a sign at Snowy River Rampage. The wait are moderate for all slides. The action river is not for the squirting intolerant, the burning of sunscreen water in the eyes are so fun. It has many deenching moments, for a soaker ride 10 good ride 5. Most of the things are recolored and repainted. The slide interiors are the same colors. I think the new theme is australian/tropics, due to the australian like signs. The whole gets a 7 due to australian items. I still wish for the old BB, a castaway's dream. Hope you guys can see the scenery! BB1

I posted this on another topic but here it is. I will like to say a special thanks to KI and KIPR for keeping some Australian/Boomerang Bay items/artwork at Soak City at the Surfside Suppiles, the wooden panneling, and at the CCC. Also for the new instructions for rides and the mens & womens restrooms/changing rooms. Thanks so much, you guys are the best!

You're insane about this stuff....you won't die if they don't have Australian theme. I will go purposely take away all Australian theming and see how crazy you get.

Numero Un-Because i was raised with it, and its a cool place! Tree ferns, cool art, aussi awesome music, great food(no not outback), great people why not like it? Numero Deux- I am not mad about it, i had an inferance that my favorite things of the place were to be lost, which that would be of an down grade this summer, but i like Soak City!^Why do you like the Australian theming so much? Why are you so mad about Soak City?
Numero Un- No i am not insane, i am just a fanatic. Numero Deux- You my good sir are mad.

Basically to me its one big "revamp" with new names, some things taken out, and a new paint job!

I went today and took pics of just about everywhere in the park... so when I post the trip report you guys can see if there really is some stuff leftover from BB. I personaly like the change. However, I do think they should really make it a strong "tropical" theme. Put some palm trees in.

I did see a few chinese windmill fan palms, and one cactus, im with you on the palms, coconut palms, and spindle palms seem to be of a good idea, but they will need to be removed.

Sorry - I did not see any Boomerang Bay things except the signs for the restrooms.
Overall it is very bright and full of life now, just so much better looking than Boomerang Bay.
Sorry, BB1 - Soak CIty is much better.
