I went to KI with my sister two days in a row last week, Thursday and Friday. We were going to do the homeschool booklet thing but *shrugs* eh.

When we got there late in the afternoon, we rode Delirium. No line and empty seats. It was a quite enjoyable day beacuse all the rides had no lines. After we did Delirium, we went to Invertigo and rode twice without getting off or switching seats. From there, we went to the Planet Snoopy log ride and then to WWC and got SOAKED! It was awesome...

After WWC we went to Vortex for my first ever ride on it, I didn't really want to ride it but I made myself ride. I should have listened to others on KIC because it was rough and beat my head. I don't know that I want to ride it again but my cousin will probably make me ride with him at least once. That may be my last ride on Vortex ever.

From there we went to FoF and I noticed as we were walking through the building they didn't have the movie running or the lights on. It was great because it was a literal walk on ride.

I decided that since I tried Vortex I should try Firehawk as well. We had about a ten minute wait for the ride and made some friends in line who we ended up riding with in the back row. I was a little nervous to ride but it didn't look like a bad ride. I changed my mind as soon as they laid us down to start the ride, I thought "Oh crap what have I gotten myself into!" As soon as the ride was over I couldn't wait to see our picture,it was hilarious. We actually bought the photo it was so funny. I have decided that the two new rides that I tried on Thursday, were two rides I will never ride again. I'm happy I tried them because they were the only coasters I hadn't ridden in the park and now I don't have to ride them again. That was an awesome Thurday at the park.

Now moving onto Friday's trip which was a great trip as well. We got to the park late afternoon again and ate at Panda Express in FH, food was amazing, we love Chinese food. While we were eating my mom told me IndyGuy was at the park that day and she had his phone number. Once we were done eating she texted him and we met up at Diamondback. I was excited to ride with a fellow KICer.

We rode DB quite a few times, a couple times at night, which was a first for me. We did the Beast a few times, one was a night ride which was great. We rode Invertigo in the front/back seat which was another first for me thanks to IndyGuy. We also did Delirium, Flight Deck, Adventure Express, The Racer, Flight of Fear and Backlot Stunt Coaster. All of them were AMAZING!

I really had the best time waiting in the lines and getting to talk to IndyGuy about KI and not have to explain everything like I have to do with most of my friends. Thanks IndyGuy for not running off and riding by yourself when you found out that you were stuck with a bunch of girls! XD I hope we can do it again soon!

Everytime I say this to my friends they laugh and mock me! Hahah. Their loss.

That seat is the one around which Ron Toomer designed the coaster experience. It is, by far, the smoothest on the train. For years, friends drug me to 7-1. On Vortex, I no longer ride there. It's either 5-1 or occasionally 1-1 for me.

^^^Yay your trying vortex again! Trust me ive been on almost all the seats on vortex and 5-1 takes the cake. The only one that comes close to its smoothness is 7-2 or 3-1(with putting your head above the restraints)

I tried toconvince my family to ride 5 -1 on vortex, BUT they all know... The back is where it is at.

I have to agree, sitting in either 7-1 or 5-1 really makes that first drop a one of a kind experience. You can also catch some of that good Arrow Ejector air they are famous for when you come up that second hill. Only thrills that Mr. Toomer could create.

In the front seat, you truly do get insane ejector air (not to be confused with ejector seats. ) when you snap down on the second hill. The first drop is also great.

Yes, you do get some air in the front. But 6-2 and 7-1 are my absolute favorites when it comes to airtime. (Those seats literally pull you over the top of the first hill and through the inversions)
And yes, 5-1 is the smoothest row.
Very glad that you're trying Vortex again! Like Original said, (and what is in fanofFirehawk's signature) the back is where it's at.

Ah, Vortex, and Firehawk....I remember riding Vortex the first time, it was with my friend, and she had rod it a lot of times and was in total shock I had never rode it, and I told her the story about how our friend wouldn't ride the last time I was there and that my group didn't wanna leave him there alone. Boy, oh boy, Firehawk, I rode it with my cousin and two strangers, my picture was just......let's not go there, but the first time I rode it, I held on for dear life after I felt my body hit the front of the restraints on the turn over, but now I just ride like Superman!
