Favorite song heard at KI?

I keep getting that song stuck in my head (it's on the commercial for the new series Forever, so that's not helping), and it reminds me of KI. Same with Pharrel's "Happy." I've also had days where I woke up with one of the Cirque Imagine songs stuck in my head and it stayed with me all day.

My all-time favorite sound at the park is the otherworldly noise of the brakes of Drop Tower, as heard from below.

I'd go with Happy by Pharrel as well. My daughter and I were in the car the other day and Kokomo by Beach Boys came on, she got excited and yelled "daddy! It's the song from the train at Kings Island!"

Waiting for Superman by Daughtry is probably my favorite song to hear at KI. I love it when that song comes on! :D Other good songs include "Battleships" (also Daughtry), "My Kind of Love" (Emeli Sande), "Lessons in Love" (Neon Trees), "Best Song Ever" (One Direction), "La La La" (Sam Smith/Naughty Boy), "Brave" (Sara Barillies) and "Love Runs Out" (OneRepublic); "That's what makes you Beautiful" (One Direction) was one of my favorites last season. I'm sure there are lots of other great songs that haven't been mentioned. As for songs that remind me of KI that aren't necessarily played at the park, I've been playing "Crank it like a Chainsaw" and "Zombie" by Family Force 5 to get pumped for Haunt. I started doing this last season while driving to the park for my Haunt shifts. I even have a Haunt Mix on my phone that includes the two aforementioned songs plus "Freakshow" and "Not Gonna Die" by Skillet and "We are Machines", which is a song from last season's Blood Drums.

I may or may not have sung along with old time rock and roll while waiting for and getting onto Racer saturday.

Also heard Rope by Foo Fighters, Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum and a mashup of Jackson 5 I want you back/ABC and of course all the Halloween music such as Time Warp(cover) Thriller(cover) and the Ghostbusters theme

90's: Was never in Ohio during the season;

80's: Wasn't paying attention.

70's: Jive Talkin' by the Bee Gees, Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder, and Turn To Stone by the Electric Light Orchestra.

From the Paramount era- Theme to The Saint (a Paramount movie that bombed) by Orbital, Love Theme to St Elmo's Fire, Fratelli Chase from The Goonies, Danger Zone in the Top Gun queue, Raider's March in the AE queue, the entire soundtrack to Phantom Theater, Flight of Fear, and Tomb Raider: The Ride

Cedar Fair era- music from the Ocean's movies in the Backlot queue, Fitz and the Tantrums- The Walker, pretty much any song on the WindSeeker playlist, any song played at the show Playlist Live!

Was actually quite shocked to hear Time Warp playing at KI, during the day for that matter!

Cedar Point has a Kidz Bop style version in Howl-O-Palooza (Kiddie Kingdom and Planet Snoopy). It is quite perplexing.

I've heard that one before but I did hear a more original if not original version being played threw out the park. Heard it coming from AZ to the front of the park.

Any song...ANY SONG...Any song that isn't "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. I swear that song holds the all time never to be broken record for most overplayed song in Kings Island history. My favorite part of the upcoming off season is not having to hear that song for 5-6 months. What little charm that song had has been burned and destroyed and can never be reclaimed even in an ironic sense.

Every year, My family ends up with a "summer song" and it usually does come from KI but this year, it came from Kings Dominions Starlight Spectacular.

It was Summer by Calvin Harris.

Kings Islands would Have been Ain't it fun by Paramore. Because "Ain't it fun living in the real world?"

LOL... I felt the same way about Demi Lavato singing "Let it Go" from Frozen.

^ I knew which song you would pick. The crazy gray haired lady drives me nuts. I have never paid attention to the song.

My favorite song I have ever heard at Kings Island is The Reflex by Duran Duran. I have only heard it once. It was Labor Day 2012 and we were walking by near The Beast entrance. See, my daughter loved One Direction and would screaming or screech when she would hear them on the radio. So I vowed next time I would hear Duran Duran I would act just like her....and I did. It was a wonderful thing.

My favorite song they play now is One Republic's, Love Runs Out.

Anyone got a list? Or a favorite song that they heard at KI? Maybe one the reminds you of KI?

Anyways, mine is "Counting Stars" by one republic. Brings me to my happy place.

I like One Republic too and was glad I was able to see their concert here in Cincinnati this summer. The Script was awesome too and so was The American Authors and overall it was one of the best concerts. I also have heard a Christina Perri song at Kings Island and was fortunate to meet her this past spring when she came to Bogarts. She is a very nice person and was willing to meet all her fans after her concert. Ed Sheeran's song Sing would be a great addition to KI music repertoire.
