Angry Orchard in the shed? Sweet! Will folks under 21 have to wear a wristband so they don't get served any?6 points

Some of the hills on Mystic Timbers remind me of a couple hills on Grizzly at Kings Dominion, and believe me that is a GOOD thing. I can see this thing providing some great ejector. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk6 points

That turn with the half-completed tunnel reminds me of Adventure Express's downward turn that goes through the arches. Looking good thus far; only 71 more days!4 points

I can smell the airtime now. That hill looks like more of a speedbump, but just imagine the forces we're gonna get flying over that thing...4 points

The end part of this dream has to with Kings Island. I had a dream I was riding Millennium Force in the front row, and I was bracing so much for the bottom of the drop. As soon as the train got to the bottom the huge drop the track turned into Adventure Express' track. It was going the same speed as Millennium Force would be going but through the quick turns and tunnels of Adventure Express. I was terrified.3 points

Thunderhead has brief pops of comfortable, ejector, one or two floaters.. but actual floaters like on Diamondback, not like what Racer has towards the end [emoji14] Expect to be thrown around, up and to the side [emoji14] It should be fun if its half as fun as Thunderhead3 points

^ Thunderhead is the only one that I have been on which I would classify as ejector air.3 points

They just released a station construction photo on Twitter. Can't really tell what that is below the track in front of the station.2 points

These posts made me laugh out loud. I'm a mechanical engineer, and I love studying personality types (especially Myers-Briggs.) I WISH my company's HR department took that into considered that after hiring people. When I've interviewed people, I tend to ask questions in a similar vein (not as abstract, but still open-ended--and the other, more practical-minded interviewers usually rib me for it.) But, that's me. (And according to MB, I'm the sort of person who'd typically be into that kind of stuff, coincidentally enough. ) I just really enjoyed your posts, that's all. Good luck, sir! You'll do great, I'm sure.2 points

GCI does what I call "floater pops". Hills that offer nothing more than strong floater, but you ride over them so quickly that it could give the illusion that it's ejector air when it's really not. Just REALLY fast paced floater hills.2 points
-
I've never been on a GCI, so are they known for floater or ejector airtime? This looks like an awesome mix of both, but I'm really hoping for more ejector as KI doesn't seem to have a crazy ejector airtime focused ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

I showed this to my mom and she thought it looked like a speedbump in track too lol2 points

It seems like it is taking them a long time to complete the turnaround.2 points

That tunnel looks really cool, even though they haven't really finished it.2 points

1. I'll never forget riding Scooby Zoom with my dad I think in 1993. 2. That's rough....Diamondback for steel and Beast for wooden. 3. Rivertown.....that portion of the park will always be special to me as it was my former work home. So many things happened in that area for me and it's been crazy to be a part of it. 4. I'd bring back all of the former roller coasters so I could either ride them again or ride them for the first time. I'd also bring back the Antique Cars...I just miss them a ton. 5. Mystic Timbers and visiting the park on my Birthday for the first time during Winterfest.2 points

I was looking that too. Its the rendered layout picture that didnt totally account for the terrain.2 points

It must be the forced perspective again, but that turn looks a lot lower than I initially expected...2 points

The best thing about this ride is it doesn't seem like tons of trees were cleared in order to erect the thing. Diamondback goes back into the woods, but the clearing is so much that it feels like an slightly open field And Banshee during opening year too. Though, the Banshee area didn't have tons of trees since SOB so.. couldn't have done much there2 points

I haven't tried any of those taffy flavors that I absolutely didn't like. I was a little disappointed by chicken and waffles, though: I thought I would like it better than I did. It was just ok. If you like sweet and salty combinations, you'll definitely like the maple bacon. You can get four or five pieces for a buck so it's a pretty cheap treat, and not expensive to try any flavors you might be curious about.2 points

Its not just Cedar Fair. Several restaurant chains have also reimagined their logos recently. O`Charleys, Olive Garden, Wendy`s all have opted for more simplified versions of their logos. In almost all instances, I preferred the original logo to the new ones. They just seem so plain and boring.2 points

I thought the Peanuts movie was generally well received. I know I watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. And Peanuts still get play on network television every year. Are they as relevant as some of the new cartoons? No. But they are still in the public eye. Back in the day, there were no license tie ins for amusement parks and kiddy areas. Coney had the Land of Oz as the theme for its kiddy area.2 points

I love the nostalgia that Peanuts brings, but to be honest, it seems like it's not a very relevant franchise to kids right now. No future movie opportunities since it tanked (putting it's release near SW TFA just killed it), no ties to Disney / Universal...not a good sign.2 points
-
I honestly don't see either of them being interested. Disney has a plethora of characters to use from their film library, old and new. And Comcast/Universal now owns Illumination and Dreamworks which gives them plenty of characters to use as well. Neither of them need Peanuts, and I doubt they view Peanuts as competition to their own characters.2 points

I dreamed one day earlier this week that Brent Spiner was trying to explain to me what was inside the shed on Mystic Timbers. I then realized I was asleep with Star Trek: The Next Generation on the TV. So, apparently, according to my dreams, there's a "Type-M Planet" inside that shed. I gotta turn the TV off before turning in. Oy.2 points

I was just napping and woke up from a dream about Mystic Timbers. My husband and I were standing in a courtyard that was before the queue line. There was sort of a decorative mountainside to one side. There weren't many people around, but somebody hit a button beside the "mountain" and I realized that was supposed to start up some sort of animatronic show farther down the mountain from where I could see. It also started a weather effect, though, and big fans and misters above the queue line started up and it felt like we were in a sudden storm. I'm upset I woke up before I got to ride.2 points

Outside of a trip I made to KI when I was 2 in 1975, my first "real" trip was in '92. Last season for the safari monorail, and I never made it over to ride it on that trip. **edit**Here is an actual photo I took during that trip:2 points

So looking at the random photo thread, I saw a post from TopGun1993 that made me want to start this thread. The reason? He posted a photo of the "station"/Pit area of Thunder Alley......out of all of my trips to Kings Island before the attractions removal, I never did it. I could say that I regret it just for the fact of it being a missed experience. I feel like I missed out on some great views of Son of Beast (operational and not). So my question is, is there something you did or didn't do at Kings Island (or any other park for that matter) that you regret? Why?1 point

It looks a lot better like that. Why did they get rid of the waviness?1 point

The Dippin' Dots guy at the mall told you the Dippin' Dots guy that may or may not exist at Coney told you Coney is changing how they monitor ride traffic?1 point

Not to mention I basically live a 10 minute drive from the park in Mason. Almost had an apartment with a view right on Kings Mill, but that place had no vacancies...1 point

That would drive me crazy lol i'd get so antsy lol watching them from afar.1 point

^As long as it's best job. Also, when you work right next to the park, and keep watching for rides testing every day even if its 20 degrees outside.1 point
