  1. I guess it depends on who is working- I saw a group of kids getting purple columbus zoo cups refilled at Kings Island last time i was there.....
  2. That is the kind of information that employees are not allowed to give out. I happen to know the wages because that was my job, but i can assure you there are relatively few of us who know, and no one who would tell. The only way to find out would be to interview and get the job, really. As for Kamans, no clue- they are their own company.
  3. The vests were super hot during the summer though
  4. I think he's referring to the video...it's well done, but I mean c'mon, it's pretty cheesy. Cheesy it may be but those people were all volunteers- they did not have to do it. They wanted to! it was fun making it, regardlesss of whether you think it was well done or not. That was a lot of people getting out of their comfort zones to try and inspire others to join them. I know I sound like a broken record (but hey, recruiting was part of my job ) but it really can be fun working there. Im not going to get into the specifics, but things like this video made associates excited to be a part of something larger than themselves. Besides the video, there are NUMEROUS other perks and incentives and celebrations involved in being an employee.
  5. Most people dont go just wanting to "chat to workers." Getting an opportunity to get out of the office and into the park was always one of my favorite things. I was dressed differently enough from the other associates that guests would stop me...a LOT...and ask questions (Im assuming it was the uniform...besides the office workers its mostly managers that dress in a similar way). I really enjoyed being able to help people with their questions, or show them around or whatever. It didnt bother me- its your job to put the guest first.
  6. I never got to see the show last year, but I met all of the people in it when they were hired in. OMG, I could talk to (and stare at a few of) them all day long. Such nice people and funny too!
  7. Yep, I'm one of the guys in the yellow (the shortest of the two guys with hats). My main scenes are near The Beast, near Breaker's Bay, and of course, the grand finale. As I've said before, it was a blast to make! Aww, I remember talking to you before! Its nice to put faces with names.
  8. Lol. But like I said before, if you get into the right department, it really is a lot of fun. I worked with funny, kind people and can honestly say I never had a boring day.
  9. And that video just shows some of the fun stuff employees get to do, seriously, even if it was highly embarassing for a few. I find it funny for so many reasons, not the least of which was seeing my coworkers in train uniforms (I'm not sure who picked that out for them, but going from a department with pants to wearing short overalls just made me giggle). Also, watching the employees from different departments trying to keep up with the entertainment employees. But they had fun which was all that really mattered.
  10. Yep- they hire all season long
  11. Just really depends on where you work. I loved my job, but to be fair I was inside and away from the weather/craziness lol. But it really depends on what department you work in. Some are stressful, and some are really nice what deparment did you work? I was in human resources- so its pretty fair to say theres a good chance each and every one of you who have worked there in the past 4 years has met me at least once

  13. Lets just go with kind of....lol. Its nothing you wouldnt be able to do...im sure
  14. This sadly will be the first summer im taking off (been there 4 seasons). If you have any questions though, feel free to ask away and if i can answer them for you i will
  15. I know (a small part of) the kennel was used to care for some of the animals in Ed Alonzos show before- wondering if its being closed to the public this year to be used for some of the petting zoo animals?
