  1. This doesn't really help with KI footage, but if you'd want to experience something similar to watching a live show while riding the train, Silver Dollar City still has a skit on their train ride. Oh how I wish I could have visited the park back then! The actors on the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train:
  2. One other thing to remember. Will Koch was the coaster lover. Dan has said that he only rides Voyage once a season and I don't know if Pat ever has. I think this is why they did a survey at HWN asking the enthusiast what they would like to see. When the price tag was announced, I honestly expected it to be a small steel coaster like a Euro-Fighter or a Spinning Coaster. Another water coaster never entered my mind since they just added Wildebeest. Now that Mammoth has been announced I feel they need to hit it out of the park with their 2013 project. Holiday World also seems to love breaking records. I don't see them putting in a TTD/KA clone as those are Intamin rides and I have been told by a former nun that the park would never work with Intamin again. That leaves B&M as the other coaster designer that could break records. I don't see Mack, Gerstlaur or any of the other smaller players breaking any records. What I don't know is if HW has the deep pockets for a record breaking B&M. (edit) this post is by DaveStroem, seems that my daughter forgot to logout on my computer again.
  3. This was posted on CWMania It reads: UCC Group Giga Coaster Caps Concrete Caps & Grade Beams So it could be something big is heading to CW. Intimidater North?
  4. Some points from various HW&SS posts Woozy Big New Chapter $9 Million "Yes, it's true. This will be the most we've ever invested in a single ride project. Huge. #HW" This makes me think it will be in the dry park and that it will probably be more then a flat ride. While I don't have any clue as to how much flat rides cost, I don't see them being this expensive. I could really see a Gerstlaur spinning coaster. Only thing holding that idea back is there is one at SFStL. I don't know if they would put one of those in so close to one of their competitors.
  5. loves Silver Dollar City!

  6. All the ones mentioned above are just a short walk in the park compared to The Boss at SFStL and American Eagle at SFGAm. What is worse, it is just as far to get off these rides as it was to get on them.
  7. Thanks for the TPR. I have not been to BGA since 1980 so I think it is time to go back. We are just starting to plan our 2012 spring break trip to Florida. So far it looks like our spring break falls on a different week then most all of Florida and even Atlanta. Hopefully the crowds won't be horrendous. EDIT: OPPS, it seems that my daughter didn't log off on my computer. If she had been to BGA in 1980 she would need a time machine.
  8. I was just looking at that last night! King's Dominion's and California Great America's aren't updated either.
  9. I really like B&M Inverts and would love to get one at KI. - Afterburn- I love this ride, it has lots of elements that I like as well as some nice speed. - Raptor- The helix is the best part of this coaster as well as the layout, in my opinion. - Alpengeist- I like the part near the end with the "snow' on the ground that you are soaring over. - Batman the Ride at SFOG- I like this Batman the best. It's new color scheme is also very pretty. - Talon- This ride is a bit drawn out in some parts connecting the elements but is still a good ride. - Patriot- I like the color scheme of this coaster very much, but the ride itself is not as good as some of the others, in my opinion. - Great Bear- I like the Immelmann and the part that goes across the lake the best on this ride. - Batman the Ride at SFGAdv These last three are fun rides that can pull some major G-forces...some of which have caused me to gray out a bit. - Batman the Ride at SFGAm - Batman the Ride at SFSL
  10. I absolutely love Epcot! I want to travel the world when I'm older especially to Europe and this is a great way to get a taste of it. After Epcot, I like Magic Kingdom mostly because it has some great theming and rides that are themed to movies and it just feels magical (duh ) Then I probably would go with Animal Kingdom because it has some unique experiences that aren't available in other parks. Hollywood Studios has good rides and shows but my three favorite attractions there are One Man's Dream, The Magic of Disney Animation, and Toy Story Midway Mania. One Man't Dream tells the history of Walt Disney, the parks, and Mickey Mouse (I love history so this really interested me.) The Magic of Disney Animation, which we spent a good two hours in just learning how to draw some of the characters, is an attraction where you first learn about Disney Animation and then get to try to draw some of the characters. Toy Story Midway Mania is an absolutely amazing attraction that is unique from other shooting rides and it is themed to one of the best Disney movies, Toy Story. Even the queue is cool! Overall all four of WDW's theme parks are amazing so it is hard to choose your favorite. As you can see I and my family LOVE Walt Disney World. 11. No they wouldn't but if they could that would be awesome. Yeah, they have really good Black Forest Cake (not to mention how big of slices they give) and Italian food. This thread is making me hungry.... time for Mittagessen!
  12. We ate there last Sunday for my dad's birthday! OMG that place has some delicious food! I LOVE authentic German food as I am part German so I would love to have a German restaurant in Festhaus. To have a building called the Festhaus then not have any German food in it just doesn't make sense.
  13. I think what they really need is just a good German restaurant in the Festhaus so it is actually a Festhaus, sauerkraut, sausages, spatzle, fresh Deli selections, delicious pastries (Black Forest cake) potato pancakes, German Potato salad, just some really good German food. I also think that you could have this along with the pizza, and Asian food and it would fit in with the International street.
  14. I've noticed that the light effects haven't been working all season, but the launch is still great!
