The Bat

I remember this one well - everytime I rode it the thing whipped my head around and gave me headaches. Heard it was shut down for this very reason. Too many injuries.

I forgot that some of it was red. Great picture. Does anyone know if this picture was taken from someone riding the "Zodiac"? I loved the Bat, the Zodiac was fun too.

I rode it and it never whiped my head, at least no worse than Top Gun. It wasn't shut down for that reason either. It was shut down because of the downtime in having to replace the shocks that allowed the ride to sway back and forth. It was costing Kings Island too much money. It was a first and had since been improved upon. The one downside to building first of it's kind coasters is parts get outdated and become expensive and breakdowns lead to major downtime.
